How Kennari values guide my work: One of the things I enjoy most about working at Kennari is being a part of a team with such extensive, diverse experience. Excellence and expertise guide each team member and influence the ideas they bring to the table. These ideas come together in such great ways to help serve each individual client.

Misty joined Kennari as an administrative coordinator in 2017. In her role, Misty handles scheduling, event coordination, marketing and communications, and a variety of other administrative tasks that allow the consultants to focus on their most important work: clients. She is honored to be part of a team that has such an amazing reputation in the community for being a strong, effective partner in philanthropy.

Misty graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in behavioral science. She has spent her whole career in nonprofits, starting out as a long-term care ombudsman before spending over a decade working with the Grand Rapids Ballet. She also spent ten years as the co-coordinator for an annual walk to raise awareness and money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Misty spends much of her free time chasing after her active twin boys! She also now works remotely from Minnesota after relocating there with her family in 2018 – if you’re lucky, you might see her in person at the Kennari holiday party.
