Kelly Yagiela

Strategist

I value results-oriented work that is driven by the voices of those we aim to support and believe that responding to the needs of our community is the key to sustainable, equitable impact. To me, changing the face of philanthropy means prioritizing honesty and transparency to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Kelly joined Kennari Consulting in 2022 as Strategist with the Grants Team and also provides support with Capital Campaign projects. Kelly’s background and education began in geriatric social work as a clinical case manager, but quickly led to macro social work by gaining experience as a Grant Writer and Fundraiser. Kelly’s social work experience has provided an expertise in relationship building and communicating, as well as a passion for supporting community-driven work. She is excited to help Kennari clients communicate their goals in a way that inspires community support.

Kelly received their Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University in 2019 and their Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2020. Outside of work, she enjoys thrifting for vintage items, reading, writing, and camping. Kelly is passionate about a variety of social justice topics, but has extensive experience with advocacy for older adults and LGBTQ communities. Wherever Kelly is, you’ll find her 15lb cat, Kahlo, not too far away (and often saying hi during virtual meetings).
